What’s Happening In This Picture?
I found this pic on the net and I do not know where to begin. The picture was taken this week in New York at an event honoring Ricky Martin. First off, what the hell is Ricky Martin being honored for? His last album tanked in the U.S. and isn’t he only 34 years old? Shouldn’t we wait to give out “honors” when the artist has actually done something important? Believe me living “La Vida Loca” isn’t very honorable. Either is living in the closet….ouch.
Let’s pick apart just a few of the many, many things that are wrong with this picture, shall we?
Well right away I see the man of the evening being overshadowed by J-Lo’s best Paris Hilton impersonation. If you look closely you can see her tightening her neck and pushing her shoulders forward as she poses. This is an old trick to hide the age that shows in your neck, especially if you have had plastic surgery on your face (the neck don’t lie, sounds like another Shakira hit). I don’t know if she has had any work, but it’s fun to talk shit about J-Lo. Her music career seems to be floundering and the rumor in Hollywood is that she is dead set on getting an Oscar. (P.S. J-Lo that will NEVER happen).
In the background we see J-Lo’s rat looking husband Marc Anthony with the man of the evening Ricky Martin. Now look at that hand coming into the shot, apparently that of an assistant wearing a long sleeved blue shirt. Is she arranging Marc’s package? Ahem…let’s move on. Now look at Ricky Martin, doesn’t it look like he is about to eat Marc’s face? That or he is about to shove his tongue into his mouth. Boys, get a room, J-Lo is trying to have her picture taken and you are getting in the way!
This picture may not be major news but it sure is hella funny. Life on the red carpet is such a strange place, don’t you think?
