Weekend Box Office Results
Wow, “Happy Feet” kicked ass at the box office this weekend. What a surprise. But don’t feel bad for 007, “Casino Royale” drew in a whopping 40 million for secodn place. Still, I would have guessed 007 was going to steal the top spot.
Family films are on a roll this winter, and this trend should keep up with “Eragon” and “Charlotte’s Web” coming out before Christmas. Another big surprise was the horror movie festival “Horror Fest” which broke the top ten with a flattering 2.4 million dollars. This is another bright spot on the horror movie scene which is riding a wave of popularity these days.
The box office is making a come back this holiday season, after a slow summer full of bloated flops (”Superman and “MI:3″) Hollywood is most likely loving the attention once again.
