Weekend Box Office Gross
I knew “Borat” would kick ass this weekend. This bodes well for next week when it opens even wider onto more screens. Word of mouth has already made this an automatic hit, even more will push this movie into super mega hit status. No one predicted the #1 opening, well except me that is.
I am glad to see “The Santa Clause 3″ did not make its predicted #1 opening. The fracnshise annoys the hell of me, so I am glad to see Tim Allen score a second flop (the first, this summers “Doom”). “Flushed Away” opened well, but may fall prey to an over staurated family market this fall. I am curious to see the Dreamworks cartoon though. “The Queen” is in the top ten thanks to Oscar buzz and great performances. “Man Of The Year” continued to fall and make little impact, Robin Williams should cut back his comedy work slate. People are more interested in his dramatic roles these days.
All I have to say is good job “Borat”, you deserve the success and recognition you are getting. This movie will have legs and may have the potential to reach the $100 million mark.

Can I tell you how much I hate Tim Allen. Well…I do!
