The Swedish Vampire Horror Movie “Let the Right One In” is Freaky and Scary as Hell!
“Let the Right One In” is a 2008 Swedish romantic horror film directed by Tomas Alfredson. The film is based on the novel of the same name by John Ajvide Lindqvist and tells the story of a 12-year-old boy’s friendship with a vampire girl. Even before “Let the Right One In” was given a release date in the US, “Cloverfield” director Matt Reeves had signed to write and direct an English language remake for Overture Films.
“Let the Right One” In has received almost universal critical acclaim. The film currently has a 100% “fresh” rating at Rotten Tomatoes based on 11 reviews. Reviewers have commented on the beautiful cinematography and its quiet, restrained approach to the sometimes bloody and violent subject matter. This sounds like the kind of film that is made just for me!
