Mini T.V. Show Review - “Andy Barker P.I.”

In a nutshell, this show rocks. “Andy Barker P.I.” is a great new addition to the Thursday night comedy line-up on NBC. “Barker” is a subtle, witty new show that will make you giggle. The show pulls from many visual influences of private eye/detective shows from the past like “Charlies Angles”, “Dragnet” and “Starsky & Hutch”. The many nods to those shows are small, but they are there. I love the slapstick, crime solving premise of this show. Who else could play a sweet, silly bafoon like Andy Richter? Tony Halle (Buster from “Arrested Development”) and Harve Presnell round out a perfect cast to offer a fresh new take on the comedy genre. I have placed a clip of the latest episode below:
