Listen To My Favorite Grammy Nominations!

I am using this post to let you hear for yourself some of the music that deserves to win Grammy’s this year. But knowing how crazy the Grammy’s go…they won’t win. This year we have an eclectic group of nominees. I actually like the fact that Grammy voters are not going for the traditional crap that can sometimes be shoved down our throats.

For the record, I do not care for some of the voters choices like; Carrie Underwood, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Christina Aguillera or Shakira. I think Nelly Furtado was robbed of a slew of nominations. I liked seeing Zero 7’s “The Garden”, John Mayer’s “Continuum”, Tom Petty’s “Highway Companion” and The Flaming Lips “At War With The Mystics” getting some props, they are PERFECT albums!

I am torn in the dance category. Madonna has always been my girl, but this year I am rooting for Goldfrapp. “Ooh La La” is one of the best pop songs of recent memory. I am hoping James Blunt won’t sweep the awards, although I loved that c.d. before it blew up here in the states, he is now played out. He has just saturated the world with his handsome looks and girlish falsetto!
