“I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry” Movie Trailer
Uh oh, not another straight guy pretending to be gay buddy comedy, how boring. But, this one stars Adam Sandler. It may be good, but Sandler has a past of using the easy joke and making fun of gays. If this film can pull off the joke, and come off sweet enough not to offend, then it could do really well this summer. I am not a huge fan of Sandler’s but he has made some terrific choices (”Punch Drunk Love”, “The Wedding Singer”, “Spanglish”) and some very bad ones “The Waterboy” and “Reign Over Me”.

i hope this is good. i was mildly put-off in the beginning of the trailer. do straight people (that aren’t around gay people all the time) REALLY think that gay men act like that? it seems full of misconceptions. but then toward the end they start fighting like an old married couple and it seems like the movie’s misconceptions fade as the character’s misconceptions fade. hopefully the point will be driven home that people are people and couples are couples, no matter the sex. the last bit of the trailer is pretty funny. i smell potential.
