Santogold’s “LES Artistes” Music Video Is Hot!

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

Santogold’s debut self titled album is a four star instant classic. The album pushes the envelope of modern music melding R&B, electronic, pop and dancehall influences to make one of the most eclectic and creative albums to come out in 2008. The single “Lights Out” from her new album and the song for the video below titled “LES Artistes” are both one of the best songs of 2008, period.

This album is already a critical darling, and for good reason the song below is a sample of Santogold’s genius style. Call her M.I.A. without the heavy politics and edge, but I like to think of her as the future sound of pop music. Watch her music video for “LES Artistes” and an interview from NME.com below.

Paris Hilton Responds to McCain Ad (And It’s Hilarious!)

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

You have to give credit to Paris Hilton for poking fun at herself. This spoof “ad”, which is a direct response to McCain’s use of her image in a recent Presidential ad campaign, was put together by the folks at funnyordie.com (co-owned by Will Farrell). It just goes to show Paris is only good at playing the part of herself. This clip is hi-larious though, check it out and spread the buzz!

The “Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince” Movie Trailer

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

The “Harry Potter” series still rolls on with this second to last entry which promises to be darker in tone than all of the other books combined. If you are an avid reader then you know this film will be one of the best yet. I for one think this series is a pitch perfect collection of family films with quality written all over them. Check out the newest trailer in the franchise below:

The Star Studded “What Just Happened?” Movie Trailer Is Here

Friday, August 1st, 2008

“What Just Happened?” is an adult sharp comedy about two nail-biting, back-stabbing, roller-coaster weeks in the world of a middle-aged Hollywood producer played by Robert DeNiro as he tries to juggle an actual life with an outrageous series of crises in his day job. The film satirizes Hollywood using big name stars like Sean Penn and Bruce Willis as comic relief. Check out the fun Barry Levinson directed movie trailer below:

Gnarls Barkley’s “Who’s Gonna Save My Soul” Music Video Is Trippy!

Friday, August 1st, 2008

This Chris Milk-directed video is completely crazy in just the right way. Surreal, funny, disgusting, even a little dramatic. Just watch. “Who’s Gonna Save My Soul” appears on the band’s second album (titled “The Odd Couple”) which sadly is only just a good album, but this track just blows everything else out of the water. Watch it below:
